Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual Construction Superintendentfluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)and Englishto oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining clear communication with a diverse workforce, subcontractors, and clients.Key Responsibilities:Project OversightSupervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.Coordinate daily tasks, schedules, and workflows for subcontractors and laborers.CommunicationAct as a liaison between English-speaking project stakeholders and Chinese-speaking team members, subcontractors, and clients.Translate technical documents, instructions, and on-site communications as needed.Quality ControlMonitor the quality of work performed by all trades and promptly address any issues or discrepancies.Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to building codes and company standards.Safety ManagementEnforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.Conduct on-site safety meetings and training sessions.Budget and Schedule ManagementTrack project budgets and costs to ensure financial objectives are met.Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports and schedules to the Project Manager.Problem-SolvingResolve on-site conflicts or issues involving schedules, resources, or unforeseen challenges.Qualifications:Required:Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, both verbal and written.Proven experience (5+ years preferred) as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency with construction management software and tools.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites.Preferred:Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.What We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience.
