Position OverviewThe Director Human Resources will oversee and strategize priorities of the HR Management function in support of business objectives. Support and recommend programs improving the quality of work life for all employees, providing leadership to management and to support policies and procedures in accordance with the company culture and goals. Facilitate effective change management in partnership with the Leadership Team. Lead and direct day-to-day activities of the HR Team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and continuously improve the effectiveness of human resource programs, policies and procedures, employee relations, staffing/retention/motivation, employee orientation, training and development, communications, payroll and employee benefits, organizational development and change, and succession planningManage/oversee full-cycle staffing needs in support of the business, including but not limited to job requisitions, job postings, interview and selection, employment offers, background checks, onboarding (including training and development, tools and resources, etc.)Manage/oversee all benefit programsProcess biweekly payroll for exempt/non-exempt and expatsManage/oversee all retirement savings programsOversee employee leaves of absence processesEnsure the HR Department responds timely and efficiently to employee benefit program inquiries and that accurate records are maintainedAnalyze and review wage and benefit survey data; ensure appropriate market data is selected, and competitive pay ranges are established.Ensure prompt and effective resolution of employee issues/concerns. Conduct thorough, fair, and consistent workplace investigations where necessary.Act with honesty and integrity. Make ethical business decisionsEnsure regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislations is maintained.Ensure Performance Management philosophy and cycle is observed by all departments, including periodic check-in's, annual performance evaluation, introductory reviews, development plans, etc.Establish and administer progressive discipline practices (Progressive Discipline Warning, Performance Improvement Plan, etc.)Ensure clear and accurate job descriptions are in place for all positions.Counsel and train leaders to achieve a culture of high performance (providing employee recognition, managing underperformance, giving/receiving feedback, documentation, etc.)Manage separation processes, as warrantedDevelop and interpret employee policy and practice (Employee Handbook, other, etc.)Oversee timely responses to employment verifications, unemployment claims, garnishments/subpoenas, etc.Establish annual budget recommendationsConduct the responsibilities in a professional and confidential manner with neutrality and fairnessTake on any special projects as assigned by management, from time to timePerforms other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Education/Experience:BSBA in Business Administration and MBA Preferred.At least 7 years of management experienceAt least 15 years of progressive Human Resource ExperiencePrefer SHRM-CP and/or PHR certificationsSpecial Knowledge / Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with ability to independently use Microsoft Office Programs, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural team environment.Physical Demands / Work Environment:Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.This job position may include access to controlled information or technology covered under applicable U.S. export control laws.
