This engineer will aide and partner with Duke Energy in the upgrades of a major energy providers distribution grids. This role will be owning their own field work and will ultimately be in charge of designing the project construction plans with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. The project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.Scheduling and developing construction plans for the project workCreating work packages, construction plans, bill material and will be in charge of the scope of work schedule.Travel to job site to collect necessary documentation and supplementary data (notes, photos, measurements, etc.)Compensation$29.81/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
