Commercial Creditors' Rights Litigation Associate

The Merker Group is working with an Am Law firm to find a Commercial Creditors' Rights Associate to join the litigation team in the firm's New York office. This is a cohesive and collaborative team with a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives associates the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. Requirements:3-4 years of Am Law 100 or 200 law firm experience focused on Creditors' Rights Litigation. Hands-on experience drafting complaints and motions, conducting discovery, appearing in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts, negotiating settlements, and communicating with opposing counsel and clients. Experience should include the enforcement of commercial loans, collateral repossession, the Uniform Commercial Code (particularly Articles 2, 2A, and 9), equipment leasing, and commercial finance law.Bankruptcy law experience is a plus.Deposition experience and strong case management abilities are desired.J.D. and outstanding academic credentials.NY Bar License or ability to obtain one.
