General Maintenance HandymanAbout the CompanyQueens Complex of 230 apartments looking for a "Handyman." Candidates should have a minimum of THREE YEARS experience in professional NYC building maintenance. The position is FULL TIME. Compensation is based on experience and presentation at the interview.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of NYC building codes and inspectionsCompleting daily work orders in a timely mannerPrepare and renovate vacant unitsHybrid oil-gas boiler systemsBasic plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing and drywall knowledgeBasic hand tool use, such as drills, screw guns, jigsaws, circular saws, tape measures, chop-saws, caulk guns, snow blowers, dumpster dollies, power washers, generators, leaf blowers, bolt cutters, pneumatic nailers, etc.Experience with elevator systems and operationsLandscaping and snow removalAbility to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to follow instructions and to work independently or as part of a teamAttention to detailGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyMust have strong tenant-service aptitude and skills.Looking for a self-starter who can "own" work orders and maintenance tasks.
