Compensation$80,000 - 100,000 annuallyJob SummaryThe Environmental Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Environmental/Regulatory Department for Sully-Miller Contracting Company, United Rock Products and Blue Diamond Materials. Main ResponsibilitiesActs as liaison with third party contractors and consultants for projects associated with regulated substances.Acts as liaison with governmental agencies, and City departments for environmental matters relating to URP and BD sitesCode and ensure that invoices and check requests are turned in to AP in a timely mannerCollect and upload compliance data to RECLAIM, SMARA, DOORS, TRUCRS, PERP, CERS, SMARTS, and GEOTRACKEREnsure that each plant facility's AQMD permits are up to dateMonitor weather events and coordinate/inspect proper deployment of BMPsProvide, maintain and track the various environmental training of company personnelMust provide an environmental presence at the Irwindale facilities, including the pitsMust work with outside consultant to update plant information books and training for Business Emergency Plan, SPCCs, and SWPPPsParticipate in training/schooling for various certifications including but not limited to: Smoke reading, asphalt and aggregate plant operations, mine safety, storm water planning for plants and construction sites, Rules 403, 1157, 1155, and Method 22Prepare permits/documents for regulatory agencies (ex. Local air districts and fire departments)Obtain well readings for United Rock and prepare the Water Master's data to report to the San Gabriel Water Basin quarterlyResponsible for the preparation of Annual Mining inspection reportsResponsible for preparation of the financial assurance reportReview Soil Testing data for acceptance, and the compliance data for import fill and inert fill operationsAct as co-liaison for Colas and Sully-Miller's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)Other duties as assignedEducationBachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field (preferred)2-3 years of experience in local, state (CA) and federal environmental regulations and compliancePrevious experience with CA environmental regulations (preferred)Valid Driver's License with an excellent DMV recordSkillsAbility to work independently and be a self-starterExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate skillset in Microsoft ProgramsTeam player with the ability to work alone for specific tasksPhysical RequirementsAbility to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need requireAbility to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need ariseAbility to safely lift, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need ariseAbility to operate a company vehicle in a safe mannerAbility to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
