The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into actionable insights that facilitate data-driven decision-making. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that data is effectively modelled, easily accessible, and presented in a way that aligns with our clients' business needs.Key Result Areas and Activities:Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement advanced BI solutions, including interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards. Utilize your expertise in BI to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that effectively communicate data insights.Data Modelling and Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand data sources, perform data modelling, and ensure the availability of clean and accurate data for analysis. Integrate data from various sources into BI tool, ensuring data quality and consistency.Performance Optimization: Optimize BI solutions for performance by fine-tuning data models, queries, and visuals. Implement performance optimization techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval and rendering within BI tool.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into effective data visualizations. Conduct regular meetings and presentations to demonstrate the capabilities and value of BI solutions.Work and Technical ExperienceMust-Have:Proficiency in SQL, BI report designingProven experience in designing and implementing data models to support reporting and analytics, including the creation of materialized views and roadmaps for D&A implementationsStrong experience in developing interactive, visually appealing reports and dashboardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot data discrepancy issuesShould be able to develop and maintain materialized views to ensure consistency and accuracy in reportingWork closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions, give recommendations. Require minimal hand-holding and work independently.Exposure on performance optimization and scalability of BI solutionsRetail experience is mandatory, Incorta experience is preferred in BIReady to learn new tools and technology as per client needsProven experience in working in onshore/offshore model and leading teamsGood-to-have:Able to lead a team of developersMicroStrategy to Power BI migration experienceExperience of working with AgileDatabricks experienceRequire minimal hand-holding and work independentlyShould be accountable for the delivery quality and timelines set for the teamQualifications: BE Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or other technical disciplines.5+ years industry relevant experience in BI development projects.Qualities: Proven ability to develop successful relationships with external and internal partnersExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated problem solving, multi-tasking, troubleshooting skills with a high degree of flexibilityDemonstrated self-leadership with the ability to work independently, lead team and manage conflictProven learning agility as data technologies and capabilities evolve rapidlyShould be able to provide technical support to other team members as required
