Job Title: Facilities Systems Integration Engineering Professional Associate (SCADA Software Engineer)Location: Boise, IDDuration: 12 Months (Possible Temp to Hire)Responsibilities:As a Facilities SCADA Software Engineer, you will be responsible to provide high quality engineering for facilities HMI, PLC, control systems, and support for Operations and Engineering teams that operate these systems.?The primary function for this position is to maintain and develop Wonderware InTouch HMIs for the gas and contamination control systems.The SCADA software engineer will need an understanding of the software, hardware, and business practices employed in a typical SCADA system.Responsibilities and TasksPrimary responsibility will be the programming of HMIs, and related SCADA systems, for the gas and contamination control groupsWork directly with Controls Engineering and Operations team to integrate design requirements into programming effortsSupport equipment startup and commissioningMaintain existing software and systems as necessary, including troubleshooting, testing, and de-buggingMaintain good communication with all supported Operations and Engineering TeamsWork with interdepartmental support groups (Environmental, Information Technology, Corporate Facilities Management) to assure PLC/SCADA systems meet necessary standards and requirementsMaintain standards, specifications, and procedures for HMI, PLC, and SCADA programmingCoordinate field support as needed by the various Facilities Operations teamsProgram systems for HVAC and Water monitoring and control.Provide support for other systems as needed.Write and coordinate system data reports as needed by the supported teams with Tableau and Power BIDesign, maintain, and support SCADA, Windows and Web applications, including corresponding system databasesAssure 24/7 coverage for all supported critical Facilities control systemsMaintain emergency response and disaster recovery procedures for Facilities PLC/SCADA infrastructureAnalyze systems to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains and cost savingsEnsure Facilities SCADA systems function as necessary to maintain external agency regulatory compliance and adherence to ISO specificationsKeep abreast of current and emerging technologies for areas of concern and follow department, corporate, and industry best practicesQualifications :Knowledge and experience with Wonderware InTouch and/or System Platform, or similar platformsPLC knowledge and experience is a plusExperience with communication servers such as Omni Server, TOP Server, OPC servers or similar including device protocol developmentFluent computer skills including standard office applicationsExperience in the following: C# (preferred), HTML/Java/, C/C++, messaging/communication architectureExcellent communication skills and works well in a team development environmentAbility to maintain good customer relationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood organizational skillsAble to work on multiple tasks concurrentlySelf-motivated workerEducation Minimum AAS in relevant Electrical Engineering, programming, or equivalent is required.
