The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of design-build projects, ensuring cost control, forecasting accuracy, and alignment with client objectives. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction cost management principles.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates for design-build projects.Monitor and manage project budgets, providing real-time cost control and financial analysis.Prepare cost forecasts and variance analyses, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.Review contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments to ensure compliance with project budgets and client requirements.Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.Maintain detailed records of project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.Create and present comprehensive reports on project financial performance to internal teams and clients.Stay updated on industry trends, pricing data, and market conditions to improve cost modeling accuracy.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.5+ years of experience in cost analysis, preferably within the design-build or construction industry.Strong proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar tools) and advanced Excel skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.Knowledge of construction processes, project lifecycle, and industry standards.Proven track record of successfully managing costs on large-scale projects.Certification in cost management (e.g., CCP, CEP, or equivalent) is a plus.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work on impactful and innovative projects in the design-build space.Collaborative and inclusive company culture.Professional development opportunities to advance your career.This is a contract to potential hire opportunity.
