CNC Machinist

Akkodis is currently seeking CNC Machinists for a client in the Vandalia, OH area. The ideal candidate will be have training and experience operating CNC milling machines and/or lathes. This is a direct hire role with a company with a successful 50+ year history that operates globally on three continents.Pay Range: $24-26/hour for days, 10% differential for nightsResponsibilitiesSetting up fixture components for jobs that require CNC MachiningUnderstanding and have functional use of CNC code and CNC programmingSetting machine origins in accordance with the set-up instructionsWorking to machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances and correlated dimensions with a high demand for squareness, concentricity, finish, and parallelismSetting and loading all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete assigned jobsAbility to lift various items weighing up to approximately 40 poundsQualificationsAS from a two-year or technical school or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years experience in machining operations or a Precision Machining CertificateKnowledge of machining methods, cutting qualities of metals and toolsAbility to read and understand blueprintsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA CitizenshipIf you are interested in this onsite position in Vandalia, then please click APPLY NOW.
