ICM is looking for an Offshore Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, with experience in the renewable energy sector, to work in offshore wind turbines.DETAILS:LocationMassachussets (Offshore)Schedule: 3-week rotationsDuration6-12 months (with potential to be hired by the client after this period)Additional info: Training and travel expenses are covered by the employerKey ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor GE's EHS policies and project-specific EHS plans onboard vessels.Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance, maintaining accurate records in GE's systems.Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.Ensure compliance with offshore safety programs, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).Provide regular EHS performance updates, highlighting key metrics and observations.Deliver safety briefings and training sessions to project personnel.RequirementsCertificationNational Registry of EMTs or relevant State Paramedic Certification.Technical TrainingElectrical safety (NFPA 70E or equivalent), valid GWO BST modules (sea survival, work at height, manual handling, fire extinguisher), and HUET certification.Medical FitnessValid offshore medical fitness assessment (OGUK, NOGEPA, NMA, or equivalent).Other CredentialsValid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).ExperienceFamiliarity with offshore environments and safety standards.This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced EHS professionals passionate about renewable energy and offshore safety.
