Job Description: National defense firm seeks an experienced Litigation Secretary to join their team. The ideal candidate comes from a minimum of 3+ years of defense experience (insurance defense preferred), has supported between 2-4 attorneys managing caseload, calendar, and appointments, efiling in state and federal level, and generating TOCs/TOAs.Legal Secretary Job Duties:Directly support 1 attorney in managing caseload, document preparation, and moreHandle the calendar of appointments and schedule conferences, depositions, meetingsPrepare legal filings for state and federal courtDraft, edit, proofread, and format various documents including correspondence, pleadings, etc.Open and close new matters via electronic databaseAssist calendar clerk with calendaring internal and court deadlinesGenerate Table of Contents and Table of Authorities (TOCs, TOAs) and compile exhibits for trial preparationAssist accounting team with managing bills for third party vendors, including cover letters, as neededLegal Secretary Job Requirements:3-5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary in Defense Litigation, Insurance Defense preferredExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) requiredIf you or someone you know is interested in applying, please send the resume in Word (.docx) format to Alizen Rodriguez at for immediate and confidential consideration.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
