OverviewA 50+ person growing Architecture + Interiors studio is seeking a Project Architect with healthcare experience to join their collaborative firm! The position is based in either the Los Angeles or San Diego office. However, fully remote work options are available. Their studio's architectural ingenuity, technical expertise, and attention to detail consistently place their projects at the forefront of cutting-edge design.Note: Opportunity for fully remote work is available with occasional travel to job sites & critical meetings.Overall ResponsibilitiesSupport management and running of architectural projects with the firmAbility, skills, and motivation to act as an independent project architectJob ResponsibilitiesAssist team in business development efforts to win new projects as requiredWork closely with Project Manager to establish project plan, milestone schedule, and staffingWork closely with Project Manager to follow both construction and internal project budgetsWork in all project phases from programming through project closeoutDevelop project cartoon set for assigned projectsMay conduct client design meetingsMay conduct team meetingsResponsible for code compliance as it relates to Title 24, ADA, Energy Codes, and Life Safety in relation to planning and documentation Mentor and train staff on code complianceWork closely with the Design Team to execute the vision and spirit of the design for assigned projects and ensure that constructability methods and technologies are explored and implementedMonitor project schedules and tasks while enforcing office standards and budgeting hours per fee contractsKeep abreast of technological developments and understand design and technical criteria such as new codes, new design concepts, computer applications, drafting methods, etc.Lead project team through documentation, modeling, quality control, and consultant coordinationPerform building systems selection, evaluation, and detailingProficiency with development of building envelope details and interior building systems coordinationUnderstand, lead, and review the development of project manualsSchedule the work and oversee its productionEnsure each project complies with the client's needs, facility standards, and the company quality standards, delivering projects on-time and on-budgetPerform ongoing document quality control reviewsMotivate and mentor junior staff ensuring their professional and technical development by leading by exampleUnderstand construction sequencing and constructabilityCoordinate work and maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, agencies, inspectors, and consultantsPerform in all aspects of the CA phaseResponsible for quality control of documentsProvide exceptional customer service to our clients and build strong relationships based on trust, value, and expertiseIdentify ways to innovate and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our processesQualificationsLicensed Architect preferred10+ years of experience preferredHCAI/OSHPD experience requiredAcute healthcare experience requiredAbility to manage and appraise own working practicesGood organizational skills and ability to work under own initiativeExceptional Revit skillsThe base salary for California positions will be determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity considerations. In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $150,000.
