Energy/Environmental Underwriter

If you are an Underwriter operating in either the Energy or Environmental market and are considering your next move, then this could be the one for you.This is a marketing orientated role, your focus will be on larger, more complex risks which will see you out there developing new relationships with Brokers across the US, while also building out existing relationships. In joining a division of 60 strong Underwriters across the US focusing on the Environmental and Energy space, you will be completely supported in transitioning into a new company with the opportunity to get involved in wider Underwriting activities such as special projects, and upskilling and coaching others within the team.The Energy portfolio is namely made up of retail business, with a heavy focus on traditional Oil & Gas and Renewables (mostly Solar, Wind and some Geothermal). This opportunity is unique in that you will have wider collaboration and exposure to Environmental focused risks (namely General Liability and Pollution), but this global insurer has ambitious growth plans and the focus for you in this position would be to support the growth and development of their Energy proposition (focusing on O&G and Renewables).This opportunity can be based anywhere in the US; however, Georgia, New York or Massachusetts is a preference.
