Litigation Associate

Berry Moorman P.C. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of litigation experience. This position requires a collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a proven ability to handle all aspects of litigation.Key Responsibilities:Develop defense strategies for clients in commercial and municipal defense litigation.Analyze all claims and defenses in litigation cases.Collaborate with clients, senior attorneys, and partners to develop case strategies and solutions.Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, discovery motions, summary disposition/judgment motions.Draft and respond to discovery requests.Conduct and defend depositions.Participate in pre-trial and trial preparation.Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring transparency and timely updates on case progress.Preferred Qualifications:3-4 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation and municipal defense.Strong track record in drafting and arguing motions, handling discovery, and depositions.Some trial experience preferred but not required.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Book of business is a plus.Education:J.D. from an accredited law school.Active member of the Michigan Bar in good standing.
