PIC represents individuals, corporations, and institutions worldwide, offering comprehensive legal services covering all aspects of U.S. immigration law, including asylum law, family-based immigration, removal defense, and employment sponsorship and compliance. PIC is looking for an Associate Immigration Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in and knowledge of immigration law, practices, and procedures. The candidate needs to be admitted and in good standing to any state bar. Bilingual abilities preferred. This position is in-person, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, in our Center City office.Roles & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Prepare legal documents such as applications, petitions, briefs, motions, appeals, waivers, and affidavits Represent clients at Master Calendar Hearings before immigration courts and at interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration ServicesProvide legal advice to clients on immigration lawCommunicate directly with clients regarding their immigration mattersInteract with various outside entities, including but not limited to government agencies and courtsResearch and analyze complex immigration law issuesMonitor and stay up-to-date on changes in immigration law and advise clients accordinglyDevelop strategies to resolve immigration-related legal issuesManage caseload, including managing case deadlines Job RequirementsMust demonstrate interest in immigration lawMust have strong legal research and writing skills Must be organized and capable of managing deadlinesMust demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and skill in fact gathering, problem analysis, and the ability to interpret immigration laws, regulations and policiesMust have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingMust be admitted and in good standing to any state barMust be able to work from our Philadelphia officePrior experience in immigration law or working with immigrant communities is a plusBenefits Competitive compensation based on experiencePaid time off in addition to holidays, volunteer/civic action days, and a religious holiday of the employee's choiceMedical and dental insurance plans, premiums paid by the firmGenerous paid parental leave401k profit sharingTo apply for the role, please send a cover letter and resume to Virginia Earl, HR Manager at virginia@.
