Test Engineer

Our client, a global industrial technology company, is looking for a Test Engineer to join their team in Fairfield, Ohio! This role is onsite, so candidates must be local. This is a 6 month contract role ResponsibilitiesAssure compliance to DFM, DFA and DFT guidelines in the product designs through early involvement in the product development processDevelop product test and equipment specificationsDevelop equipment and process qualification plansHands on supervision of manufacturing prototype and pilot runs at electronic contract manufacturersHands on supervision of design, deployment and qualification of specified test equipment.Prepare and manage detailed task driven schedule for equipment developmentEstimate resources and expenses for test equipment developmentCreate, maintain and keep current all technical documentationActively participate in problem solving of manufacturing / quality issuesRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering5-7+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing or production environment Minimum of 3+ years of experience in new product developmentAbility to understand and develop test strategies for electrical and electronic products designed for use in industrial controls and distribution equipmentKnowledge of PCB assembly process, wave solder, reflow solder, SMT and PTH technologies and equipmentGeneral understanding of system design software (LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, etc)Electronic circuit knowledge: digital, analog, power and high voltageProficient in the use of laboratory instruments and methods (Power sources, scopes, precision meters, etc)Experience with electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
