International Trade Law Firm - Dallas AreaAssociate or Senior Associate Trade Attorney (Hybrid, Full-Time)About Us:Join a dynamic International Trade Law firm focusing on high-quality legal and trade support for clients navigating the complexities of global trade. Our practice focuses on critical areas, like EAR & ITAR support, export licensing, sanctions, denied party screenings, EEI filings, customs regulations, CCATS submissions, antiboycott measures, duty savings, product classifications, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), country of origin, trade remedies, UFLPA, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and other aspects of trade compliance. We are committed to ensuring the seamless flow of international trade and regulatory compliance for our clients.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Associate to Senior Associate Trade Attorney to join our team and provide expert counsel on international trade matters. This role involves advising clients on a wide range of topics, including U.S. export regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs),FTAs, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, duty savings, country of origin, trade remedies (e.g. Section 301 investigations), product classifications, Protests, binding-ruling requests, and supply chain security. You'll work closely with the Managing Partner, Associate Attorneys, Trade Analysts, Trade Advisors, and Legal Project Manager. Additionally, you will lead efforts in client representation, strategy, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Client RepresentationProvide strategic advice and representation to clients on complex trade matters.Collaboration with Managing PartnerAssist with high-level cases.Lead AttorneyServe as lead counsel when directed, managing legal strategy and execution.Team CollaborationWork alongside other Attorneys, Of Counsel, and strategic partners to develop legal strategies and meet client needs.Supervisory RoleGuide appropriate staff and stakeholders on client matters, potentially supervising the work of other staff.Cross-functional CommunicationLiaise with the Managing Partner, CFO, Legal Project Manager, and other key stakeholders. Regularly provide updates to the firm's Legal Project Manager to ensure they are informed on the status of clients, matters, and other firm priorities.Client EtiquetteMaintain a professional relationship through acknowledgement of the originating Attorney. Include Managing Partner and originating Attorney in correspondence and conduct communication with transparency and collaboration.Time & Records ManagementMaintain accurate and timely records for billable, non-billable, and administrative tasks. Keep adequate case files and related records and evaluate work product to ensure effective project completion.Pro Bono ServicesContribute to pro bono initiatives as needed.Further TrainingFocus on professional leadership through cross-training of Associate Attorneys and staff.Cultural PromotionPartner with all staff to provide exceptional work that benefits the clients and fosters a positive firm culture.Networking and Client OriginationActively participate in networking events and support business development through client origination.Strategic MarketingContribute to the stability and sustainability of the firm through participation and contributions in marketing (e.g., publications, speaking engagements, podcasts, webinars, and firm sponsored marketing events).Professional Growth and RecognitionLeverage memberships that provide opportunities for name recognition and personal networking.
