Come join a great team!Essential Duties:Coordinate and communicate day to day operations and projects with customer base and appropriate Lansing personnel via documented action register management and regular technical project meetings with customer baseMonitor and track NPAA's on-line performance, incoming quality for processing color and appearance criteriaObtains information regarding build data, inventory and usages to communicate with Supply Demand Planning representatives for effective inventory management.Follow batch status in SAP and work with internal teams to meet customer supply and quality demands.Responsible for implementing & tracking as necessary all value added activities at the customer that improve the production process and production process issuesGenerate all reports, data, presentations and documentation on projects and issues pertinent to the account as necessary in an effective and timely mannerMonitor customer production runs and determine customers' performance requirements within accountContribute to developing customer application line correlations and assist Lansing group in formula optimizationWork with customer and NPAA's Sales to solve pricing, credit, debit, and RGA issuesCoordinate and execute technical service needs of customer (product adjustments to meet specific line requirements"”i.e. color, flow/appearance).Complete material adjustments (solvents, pigment dispersions and additives) for optimum processing and color quality.Work with customer base to assess necessary adjustments and complete for production batches on site as necessary.Perform QC tests on NPAA materials on site regularly or as required by customer.Recommend process and/or robot program changes for product performance improvementDocument customer line process to determine root cause and preventive action for problems & improvementsCoordinate sample submissions and production trialsParticipate in facility continuous improvement activity programsComplete necessary reports to effectively track NPAA performance at account (action registers, quality and color trend reports, and monthly reports).Facilitate internal team meetings for action register and other project reviews RequiredBachelor Degree and Minimum of 5 years of customer based technical experience in automotive paints or 10+ years or experience.Computer and software skillsCommunication skills (report writing and data interpretation)Good organizational skills (data collection / graphing)Interpersonal skillsStrong customer focus and relationship building skillsGood problem solving skillsBe able to work with 2 component coatings and isocyanatesTime management skillsAbility to wear a respirator/all necessary PPE - including being clean shaven for respirator useBe able to lift 50 lbsCOMMUNICATION SKILLSStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure appropriate flow of information.Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries, and/or complaintsDisplays courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESMaintains appropriate confidentialityAbility to meet strict deadlinesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completionAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPromotes a harassment-free environmentEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships; demonstrates a commitment to teamworkMaintains a strong attention to detailHighly developed computer skills in Excel, Word and other office programsManufacturing industry experience preferredAbility to identify and define problems, collect and analyzes data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAbility to work off shift hours in order to meet the needs of the business.
