The Technical Manager is responsible to ensure that vessels are maintained to a high standard, meeting all technical and statutory requirements and being legislatively compliant. Technical Manager will lead technical team and the onboard engineering team and ensure that high standards of safety and environmental awareness onboard.General:Abides by company by-laws including policies and procedures.Ensure Vessels are maintained in compliance with statutory, classand charter partyrequirements.Operational:Prepares a plan for the maintenance and upgrade and tools and trucksMonitors the technical and maintenance of vessels in accordance to utilization and lifecycles and schedules thereof and in close corporation and under supervision of HQ Technical departmentPreparation of the new builds technical specifications and monitor the implementation of the planProjects' budgeting and monitoring the costMonitor dry dock planning in all divisions within the groupMonitor dry dock costs against the budgetAnalyze dry dock yards 'tendersOversee the fleet technical performance and compliance with statutory requirementsManage superintendent and engineer team to guarantee operations are effectively carriedthroughOversee the vessel performance including the approving of any major vessel repairsMaintain and open and effective line of communication between ship and shore teamsActively manage all aspects of the vessel and team to ensure client satisfactionEnsure the safety, environmental and operational performance of all assigned vesselsLead, Supervise, Appraise, and Support Technical Staff and Onboard Vessel Engineering StaffEnsure effective implementation and management of Company's Corporate Maintenance Strategy and Preventive Maintenance ProgramEvaluate critical spare inventory and distribution to ensure maximum vessel service reliabilityMonitor vessel condition through daily review of vessel technical reports and regular on board inspectionsMonitor and maintain vessel equipment and operating performance in synchronization with Company's vessel specificationsMonitor and maintain vessel equipment and operating performance in synchronization with Company's vessel specificationsAuthority:Supervisory responsibilities include the management and directing of the technical staff and onboard engineering staff.ExperienceFirst class Chief Engineer Certificate of CompetencyORMinimum 3 years of sea experience as chief engineer of offshore support vessels.ORMinimum 5 years of shore experience working as a technical superintendent or similar positionOthers: Strong knowledge base and technical skills in offshore support vesselsProficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft project and AutoCADStrong communicational skills and ability to work in teamsAble to work under pressureStrong Leadership skillsWilling to travel extensivelyFluent level of English language
