If qualified and interested, please apply immediately!CALIFORNIA APPLICANTS ONLY - THIS IS AN FULLY ONSITE POSITION Job Summary: The Cost Analyst is responsible for providing cost analysis to assists management in decision making or other financial initiatives. Performs variance analysis between actual and standard costs. Monitors, analyzes, and reports on inventory valuation, production, and various other costs.Responsibilities:Gather and analyze ERP production and financial dataDetermine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costsPrepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hocHelp management make important decisions based on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)Set manufacturing standards for productivity, headcount, waste, etc. that consider actual production history and the theoretical possible efficiency of the manufacturing processes.Produce reports that capture the variances between manufacturing standards and actual performanceMonitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costEstimate product costs for existing and new productsForecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventorySuggest cost-reduction and profitability improvement actionsUpdate product cost estimates that reflect changes in raw material or other input costs and the manufacturing processContribute cost and efficiency estimates to the annual budgeting processPeriodically recommend customer price changes required to cover changes in costs that are needed to maintain profitability. Present to management a concise and convincing explanation for the recommended customer price change that can be communicated to the customer.Qualifications:Experience in the supplement field or food manufacturing needed3 years' experience in data, operational and financial analysisKnowledge of accounting processes and ERP systemsExperience as a cost analyst, programmer or similar role is a plusStrong analytical and Excel skills
