Through expertise and experimentation, discipline and ambition, we find creative solutions.DescriptionThe Technical Inventory Specialist will oversee and maintain the organization, tracking, and movement of internal and external assets, including technical equipment, robotics, electrical components, and project-related items. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong collaboration with teams to ensure accurate inventory control, equipment readiness, and seamless project support.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementTrack, organize, and maintain inventory of internal & external assets that includes technical equipment, electrical components, robotics, and project related assetsEnsure proper tagging, labeling, and logging of all inventory itemsConduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system recordsOptimize inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize availabilityConduct inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory counts regularly to ensure project assets are accounted for and prepped for delivery to project locationConduct inventory audit for all items returning to the warehouse from project location; report missing assets to management/project teamCommunicate project team requests, order changes and/or paperwork specifications to managementAccurately and efficiently pull and stage equipment & all other assets for delivery to project locationEquipment Sub-rentalsAssist with the process of receiving and returning rented equipmentIdentify any damage to items before returning equipment to rental companySchedule and monitor returns and inspections of rented equipmentLogistics & Shipping/ReceivingCoordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timelinessHandle packing, labeling, and tracking of shipments, including international logistics when neededPartner with shipping carriers to resolve delays or issues promptlyMaintain documentation for all shipping/receiving transactionsSafely operate lift gates and material handling equipment (fork, man and/or scissor lifts) to load, unload or restock equipmentLoad and unload trucks following all proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniquesTechnical Knowledge & MaintenanceAssist with software setups on outgoing servers and computers Assist with setup of computer networksManage routine inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair processes for inventoryProperly assess and complete minor repairs to equipment when ableCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with team members, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless operationsProvide updates on inventory levels, shortages, or equipment status to relevant departmentsShare knowledge of inventory processes and systems across departments Warehouse & Demo/Testing ManagementAssist inventory team to ensure the warehouse is organized and has adequate space for upcoming demos, tests, and freight shipmentsWork with the Shop team to set up and arrange production equipment for demos, testing, and special events, including: projectors, TVs, speakers, lights, consoles, computer networks, workstations, steel deck, and furnitureAssist with the cleanup and organization of the warehouse after demos, testing, or events, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and the warehouse is tidyPhysical requirements include, but are not limited to, the followingAbility to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds individually and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds in a team lift.Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, lay down, and climb ladders or stairs as needed to perform tasks such as accessing low or high components on builds, installation, inspecting or repairing installed technology, or retrieving items from storage areas.Physical activities required of this job include, but are not limited to: bending, carrying, climbing, crouching, feeling, finger movement, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, rapid work speed, speaking, reaching, repetitive motions, seeing, sitting, standing, stooping, talking, twisting, walking, and walking on irregular surfaces.Working ConditionsWorking environment may include exposure to noise, dust, vibrations, hazardous chemicals, moving objects and other factors typically found in a warehouse and/or job site setting.Working environment may occasionally include working outside, in inclement weather, with exposure to extreme temperatures, areas of poor visibility, wet and/or humid conditionsMay be required to work evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, depending on business needs.QualitiesExperience2+ years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role, ideally within technology, creative, or equipment rental/production supply industriesTechnical KnowledgeUnderstanding of creative technology, robotics, electrical components, and technical equipmentSkillsProficiency in inventory software (e.g., ERP systems, asset management tools)Excellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable with small business networkingPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with rental management platforms.Experience handling international shipping processesExperience operating a forkliftPosition DetailsFull TimeHourlySalary range from $28.85 to $38.46 hourlyLocated in Los Angeles, CAWork is onsite, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
