Join us to unlock your true potential and embark on a rewarding career journey filled with opportunities for growth and developmentPosition OverviewThe Technical Support Specialist for Equipment will primarily lead services prior to order fulfillment for Dunkin' New Store and Remodel projects that NDCP is awarded. Responsibilities include advising and guiding franchise owners and their GC's, architects, and construction managers throughout the pre-order planning process to ensure order accuracy. This includes reviewing floor plans and equipment schedules, identifying correct specifications and hold-to dimensions, preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, and verifying bids prior to submission. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and "first time" accuracy are critical to prevent unnecessary delays in the project. This individual enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with challenging projects. Other duties are as outlined below. NDCP's Equipment Solutions Group has procurement and supply chain responsibilities for Dunkin's indirect products and services, such as kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, and consolidation programs, construction materials, furnishings, lighting, signs, and store level services. The Technical Support Specialist will report directly to the Program Manager, Equipment Solutions NDCP.ResponsibilitiesTake-Offs: Analyze project plans and equipment schedules to perform accurate item identification and quantity take-off of stainless, millwork and equipment needs from K1 drawings (floorplans) Field seeker: Coordinate and lead field-seeker meetings for all NDCP awarded new store and remodel projects to verify field dimensions, optimal layout, and stainless/millwork requirements with franchisee (owner), general contractor, construction manager, and NDCP silent channel partnerQuote (Bid) Review: Review final quote for accuracy (as required) prior to submission to franchiseeEquipment Specialists support: Collaborate with and provide support to Equipment Specialists assigned to overseeing execution of projects to address franchisee questionsManufacturing oversight: Support Program Manager to oversee NDCP silent channel partner stainless and millwork category including manufacturing adherence to spec and quality, and as an approved manufacturer of incremental items within Dunkin's current fabrication packageProcess & technology optimization: Closely evaluate current processes utilized throughout the new store and remodel timeline to streamline, improve customer experience, and reduce errors SmartSheet: Become proficient with using customer relationship and project management systemEquipment templates: Maintain templates including Dunkin' and manufacturer's model numbers Active team backup: Cross training and backup support for Equipment Specialist functions as required (managing projects, bid preparation, etc.)QualificationsBachelor's degree in technical related field preferred (engineering, design/architecture, construction management)1-3 years of relevant work experience in foodservice, hospitality, design/engineering, or construction industry preferredAbility to read blueprints (floorplans) required Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Experience working with CAD, take-off software, and/or Smartsheet preferred and a plus High attention to detail and quality of workTeam player, service oriented, with excellent relationship development skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to prioritize, organize, and multi-task with limited supervision to accomplish set deliverablesAble to adapt to rapidly changing situations and prioritiesDedicated, collaborative, and proactiveSupervision ExercisedThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilitiesOther RequirementsLimited amount of travel may be required
