Someone who has done political/fundraising event planning is ideal.Top must-have HARD skills:Event managementVendor managementInterpersonal skillsBudgetingGood to have skills:Policy stakeholder engagement experienceStrong interpersonal skillsKnowledge of the policy-making process at the federal and/or state levelsProject OverviewWe are looking for a Manager to join the Economic Opportunity & Advocacy team within US Policy to manage third party stakeholders as well as lead the coordination and build of policy programs that demonstrate the economic value of our platforms and products to policymakers and other audiences in the US. In this role you will create opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs to gain digital skills, including AI, so they can best create, build, and grow their business. You will also work closely with organizations that represent them in order to advance this work.This role requires knowledge of the policy landscape and experience working both cross-functionally and with external partners. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, creative, get-things-done professional who can function independently in a fast-moving environment, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They are adept at understanding complex policy and reputation challenges.Overall ResponsibilitiesDevelop, create, and execute programs designed to support small businesses and entrepreneursDevelop, create, and execute on various policy experiences, events, and outreach programs to educate and inform policy stakeholdersManage budgets, as well as vendors and consultantsWork cross-functionally within Policy, Marketing, Legal, Communications and other teams to help advance our company's policy goalsBuild and manage partnerships and relationships with external stakeholders, and represent us to external policy stakeholders at events, conferences, coalition meetings, and in various working groupsSupport the team's engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, chambers of commerce, and other economic-oriented stakeholders.Develop and lead internal processes that support and streamline our team's work, and improve cross-functional communication and collaboration, andTravel required.Minimum Qualifications:7+ years of political events-management and/or corporate programs experienceBachelor's degreeEvent managementVendor managementInterpersonal skillsBudgetingPreferred Qualifications / Nice to Have SkillsPolicy stakeholder engagement experienceStrong interpersonal skillsKnowledge of the policy-making process at the federal and/or state levelsPursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants will be considered for assignment with arrest and conviction records.
