We believe that mission is achieved by selling the most flexible electron with the highest energy margins.Position OverviewIn this role you will report to the Manager of Billing and will ensure reporting and visualization meet business requirements. The Senior Business Analyst role plays a critical role in providing operational visibility to the business by creating reporting for Operations, Billing, Collections, Finance, Account Management, Regulatory, and Landlords.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWrite SQL queries to perform complex data extraction from various sources and analysis to deliver actionable insights in a timely manner, while ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrityDesign, create, and automate visualizations through Power BI and Power Automate to increase visibility and communicate performance, challenges, concerns with suggested improvementsCreate and present monthly KPIs to senior leadersPerform ad-hoc analysis and problem solving through SQL, Power BI, and Excel to aid decision making and processesBe an effective "translator" of business needs into technical requirementsAssist the Manager of Billing in making informed, data driven decisions that ensure operating results deliver value to the Company and maximize P&LBe able to work under guidance of a senior team member, take initiative, and get projects completed with great attention to detail and on timeProvides updates to senior management, project stakeholders on the progress of the project and/or assigned tasksAttending regular team and other required meetings daily/weekly/monthlyPerform other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time commensurate with Employee's positionQualifications and Competencies RequiredBachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Finance or similar degree5+ years' experience in data analytics or similar roleProficient in SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, and ExcelProficient in PythonAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal/external individualsAbility to interpret complex or vague instructions and successfully produce resultsAbility to gather, manipulate, visualize, and present data clearly and compellinglyAbility to demonstrate complex data analysis and data visualization design upon requestSelf-starter with ability to be forward looking for reporting or visualization ideasExcellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of Operations Experience2+ years of Retail Energy and/or Solar experienceExperience using Jira and Confluence to support workflowExperience using GrafanaAdditional DetailsCompetitive salary in a fast-paced start-up companyMust be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time with the need for some overnight tripsU.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and those authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer will be considered.
