Company Descriptionwe suggest you enter details hereRole DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Distribution Operations Manager for a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company. The Distribution Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of two distribution centers, leading a team, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and optimizing efficiency in the supply chain.Oversees operational procedures and execution of proper handling of incoming and outgoing shipment accuracy to eliminate inventory and invoice discrepancies for both warehouse locations.Responsible for reviewing and confirming purchases in the Encompass purchase table for all inbound freight from suppliers.Oversees all inbound shipments, outbound transfers, and general freight. Responsible for booking shipments within pre-determined pricing thresholds per supplier. Effectively communicates all shipping coordination with suppliers and each warehouse. Responsible for the damage claim process at both warehouse locations. Submits damage claims to carriers for each warehouse with follow-up and follow-through until the claim is resolved. Develop and maintain a shipping directory, logging specific broker contact information, current booked shipments with quoted price rates, and open damage claims. Details and updates should be in a cloud-based, shared document with ownership.Responsible for reviewing load sheets for each warehouse location to identify open load sheets and unbalanced load sheets with open invoices.Coordinates with sales manager and executive leadership for all product sample adjustments in Encompass every week while providing sample usage reports and data to sales manager and executive leadership monthly.Identifies company vehicle thresholds for operational and sales use and provides ownership with a bi-annual cost analysis to determine usage, lifespan, and cost-effective repairs and replacement.Responsible for company vehicle maintenance, damage, repair, safety, and training. Responsible for updating company fleet vehicle log via commercial vehicle software (Fleetio).Identifies company equipment thresholds for operational and sales use and provides ownership with a bi-annual cost analysis to determine usage, lifespan, cost-effective repairs, replacements, and labor-saving additions.· Actively identifies areas of operations where resources can be better allocated, and costs can be reduced while promoting company growth.· Assesses talent and performance of direct reports, implements developmental plans and conducts quarterly and annual evaluations.· Routinely reviews and improves company systems and standard operating procedures to maintain effective workflow, accountability of direct reports, and employee safety.· Responsible for managing Fintech customers for new additions and current customer audits.Responsible for daily routing for both warehouse locations and pick sheet generation via the Route Accounting System (Encompass).Responsible for accurate inventory at both warehouse locations.Responsible for identifying aging inventory, product rotation, and picking accuracy at both warehouse locations.Consults with Artisan Beverage Group ownership to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as sales, records control, and purchasing.· Work closely with executive leadership to develop/refine and implement strategic sales plans, operating budgets, and forecasts to grow sales.· Work closely with suppliers, sales and delivery team, and existing account relationships to maximize sales volume, and market share, and protect product and pricing position.· Work closely with executive leadership to develop/refine and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts to grow sales, and improve low invoice averages per delivery stop.Analyze data and utilize measurement tools to maximize sales while eliminating delivery inefficiencies.· Participates in the planning and execution new supplier and seasonal product launches with sales manager and executive leadership.· Routinely evaluates company handbook policies and their implementation and enforcement. Confers with ownership on policy updates and enhancements.Always represents Artisan Beverage Group to promote products and support new and existing customer relationships. QualificationsProven experience in distribution center operations, logistics, or supply chain managementStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailProficiency in inventory management systems and softwareEffective communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent industry experienceKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in distribution operationsAbility to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
