Media Planner/Buyer - Account Manager (Higher Education)We are searching for an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Boston office, planning and buying media across our top-tier Business and Higher Education clients. This is a division that is on a strong growth trajectory, and the successful candidate will be integral to that growth.The RoleAs an Account Manager, you will play a vital role in planning and buying across all media channels, with a primary focus on digital channels. Whether you are developing strategic recommendations, building strong relationships, innovating impactful solutions, developing bespoke media plans or attending client meetings, it will be your creative thinking, stellar attention to detail, and excellent client management skills that will ensure outstanding outcomes.You should be passionate about both media and technology, digitally fluent, understanding the complexities of a fragmented media landscape and how best to deliver success. You and the wider team will work together to develop and execute outstanding integrated media strategies.Proven project management skills and client-facing experience are a must - you're known for your ability to absorb information, learn a business and drive change. Use analysis to drive decisions in a way that yields sustained, measurable results.Maintain strong relationships with assigned clients. Proactively communicate to provide project updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns. Understand their goals, objectives, and challenges, and serve as a trusted advisor.Lead the end-to-end execution of client projects. Collaborate with internal teams to develop project timelines, deliverables, and ensure on-time and within-budget completion.Monitor project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints. Provide clients with accurate budget updates.Maintain strong relationships with our trusted media partners and be able to identify new media opportunities.Identify opportunities for additional services or expanding existing projects to drive client growth.Maintain a deep understanding of your clients' industry/segment, audience profiles, and competitive landscape.Collaborate with creative, media, and technology teams to ensure all aspects of client projects are executed effectively and seamlessly.As an Ideal candidate you will have:Experience of working in a similar media buying / planning role, preferably at an agency.Strong digital media experience particularly display, programmatic and social media.A strong understanding of performance campaigns and the ability to create full-funnel media strategies.A "˜can-do' attitude; self-motivated and proactive.The skills to handle multiple accounts and projects, ensuring client retention.First-class attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication.An interest and passion in learning new tech platforms, using our industry-first marketing suite to create best-in-class media strategies.The ability to tell a compelling story from data; analyzing your campaigns and pushing for the best outcomes.Experience of liaising with and presenting recommendations to clients and working with publishers.Ability to recognize good media opportunities and the ability to develop new ideas/concepts.Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.Excellent negotiation and good interpersonal skills: persuasive and diplomatic.Demonstrable ability to make sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline-driven situations.Commitment to upholding professional standards.Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite, in particular Excel.What we offer:Positive, friendly and loyal colleaguesA competitive salary and bonus structureFlexible, hybrid working401k matchHealthcare coverage, including life cover, medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid maternity and paternity leavePaid time off, increasing with tenureCommuter benefitsThe opportunity to fast-track your career.
