Position: Senior Plumbing Engineer/DesignerLocation: Boston, MA (Hybrid) Job Duration: Perm RoleSalary100k to 160kCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 8+ years of relevant experience in the Plumbing Design fieldExperience with the latest version of REVIT is a mustA working knowledge of the various applications of fire suppression systems gained through both formal training (NFPA 99) and project experienceSolid knowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings/documentsDetailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independently.Ability to independently perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support design and estimate construction costs and evaluate the feasibility of constructionCertified Plumbing Designer (CPD) CertificationPLUSES Experience working with projects in the Healthcare and or Life Sciences industryJOB DESCRIPTION:As a Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer, you will work on a variety of projects, from small to large, providing a high level of technical leadership in plumbing design. You will represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.Additional Responsibilities:Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specificationsPerforming fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specificationsConsulting on areas such as the preparation of existing facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reportsProducing drawings consistent with client requirements and standardsTaking responsible charge for the projects you will manageConducting business development activities as neededParticipating in various trade organizations and preparing presentationsEstablishing project budgets and schedulesParticipating in QA/QC process of completed work by staffMentoring and training more junior staffBENEFITS:As a Senior Plumbing Designer/Engineer, you will be part of a global firm with an amazing history!
