Business Summary:Independent Identity (II) is a startup non-profit in Austin, TX. II is a community and center based day program for clients 18+ with autism or intellectual and developmental disabilities who are struggling with challenging behaviors such as aggression, property destruction or self-injury. Clients receive small group ABA therapy embedded into their day program based upon treatment plan written by a supervising BCBA ® @independent.identity.atxJob Classification:BCBA ®Reports to:Executive DirectorTechnology:Computer/TabletAbout the Role:Our non-profit organization is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help us implement evidence-based methods into practice. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will be in charge of developing and measuring the effectiveness of behavior analytic interventions, and will also be responsible for creating and disseminating new training materials for staff. The successful candidate will be a dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the lives of adults with autism and their families.Responsibilities:The BCBA will conduct assessments, write treatment plans and progress reports, provide supervision to tech and, as needed, provide direct services to individual and/or small groups of clients under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The BCBA supervises 3-5 behavior technicians and has a case load of 9-11.The BCBA reports to work promptly at 8:00am. The BCBA completes work at 4:30pm or later as his/her responsibilities require. The BCBA participates in before and/or after work trainings, meetings, resource fairs, and fundraisers as needed (approximately 2 per month).The Behavior Analyst is responsible for: Developing customized programming and behavioral support to assigned individual and or groups of clients and training and supervising behavior technicians.The BCBA will be train techs on individuals and/or groups of clients' programming, which will include all or some of the following categories; functional life and daily living skills, vocational skills, employment, recreations & community, social skills and appropriate behavior.Conduct parent meetings at minimum of every 6 months to review progress and discuss future programming.Consistently ensuring techs are collecting accurate data on the programming for the individual and/or groups of clients' he/she is assigned to each day, including data required for the individual's and group's behavior protocols (frequency, antecedent-behavior-consequence, duration, etc).Analyzing data on a regular basis to guide data based decisions for client programs.Providing ongoing supervision for behavior technicians in accordance with the technician handbook.Taking individual clients on community outings and to volunteer and job sites according to the objectives outlined in each client's treatment plan and/or behavior plan.Ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients within II and while out in the community and at the program.Ensuring that all materials used and the program room as a whole are left in a neat and orderly fashion at the end of the day.Reporting any clinical issues that arise to the Executive Director.Working cooperatively with the other staff to execute all shared responsibilities.BCBA will assist with program tours, team meetings and other day-to-day program duties. BCBA will conduct team meetings or group trainings as requested by the clinical director.BCBA will create schedule for small groups of clients and technicians to follow through out the week that aligns with client goals.A senior BCBA will be the Mentor for the other Behavior Analyst.Attend training as assigned; maintain necessary certifications (CPR, First Aid, PCM, RBT, monthly trainings).The BCBA will follow the program's emergency procedures whenever needed. Administering First Aid, CPR, or containments as needed.Ensuring that clients we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with II's core values.Performing all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.Follows all Ethics code as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. ®Qualification/Education/Experience:The BCBA will hold a minimum of a Master's degree in a human services field including psychology, education, ABA/autism, special education or related field with preference for individuals with a minimum of two years of experience in supervision, challenging behavior, and/or adult services.Must hold active BCBA certification.Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Demonstrate strong oral and written skills (English proficiency) with clients, families, funding sources, consultants, the community at large, program and administrative team.Demonstrate an ability to work as a team, maintain positive and fun attitude, and perform job duties with minimal supervisory intervention.Must hold a valid drivers' license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle.Must pass Texas background check.The BCBA will be physically capable of performing all job duties including keeping clients safe in close proximity at all times and particularly during outings, and safely implementing crisis prevention techniques and containing members in excess of 125 pounds when needed.Pay range and compensation package:Salary: $70,000-$80,000/yearBenefits:Paid time off + Company HolidaysProfessional development assistanceHealth Benefits
