Computer Numerical Control Machinist

My gear machining/manufacturing client wants to bring on CNC turning lathe machinistsShifts available:1st 2ndPay= $23-$30 depending on experience.Work Experience:Must have 3+ years related experience/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.Job Summary:Set up, adjust and operate CNC equipment to exacting dimensional and finish requirements. Select cutters, feeds, speeds and program.Personal Characteristics:Results oriented with the ability to pay strong attention to detail. The successful candidate needs to be a pro-active self-starter that can work independently. Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required for this position.Principal Area of Responsibility:Loads and unloads own machine, assists and instructs others per supervisor's requestOperate, adjust and upload equipment as necessaryMeets quality standards and does setups on all assigned jobsEnsure all projects/parts comply with required specifications and meet quality standardsChecks own work to insure it is meeting process and blueprint requirementsMaintain equipment and cleanliness of working areaPerform quality checks daily and assist with duties as neededSpecific Duties:Edit and proof new programsDevelops program to produce product as specifiedInforms supervisor of supplies and need for replacementCompletes routine inspection to ensure quality productComplete duties as assigned in a timely mannerAbility to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safetyAll other duties and activities as assigned or necessary
