Production Assistant - NBC4/T44 Washington

NBC4/T44 is looking for a freelance Production Assistant with a passion for local news. This position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations in the newsroom. This is a freelance position with an estimated 18-month duration. Responsibilities include: Printing scriptsNumbering rundownsAnswering phonesCovering the assignment desk including beat checks, attending editorial meetings, and other conference callsOther duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field or equivalent work experience Must be 18 years or olderMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must be willing to work in Washington, DC Must be available to work overnights, mornings, holidays, and weekendsExperience / exposure to local news operation
