President of Intermodal

We are looking for a President to lead the Intermodal division for Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded transportation and logistics company. This position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Warren, MI.Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities. We operate from over 40 terminals and 11 container yards.Starting Salary- $270,000-$300,000 + Bonus up to $270,000-$300,000 predicated on resultsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Successful history in operations and business development.Experience leading a team of managers and individual contributorsExperience with agents/agent based modelStrong business acumenAcquisition and merger experienceConfident, decisive with strong negotiation, problem solving and closing skillsMust be able to travel when neededA BA or BS in business transportation/logistics or equivalent is preferred but not requiredHave the wherewithal, confidence, and social aptitude to carry out executive level responsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited toDrive operational efficiencies to improve service, financial performance and revenue growthDevelop direct relationships with the customersKnows what levers to pull to impact the P&LDevelop, lead and manage personnelReview market analyses to determine customer needs, agent needs and volume potential
