Wego is family owned and operated, with 3 members of ownership across 2 generations actively serving in leadership as CEO, COO, and CCO.Job SummaryThis position will work closely with marketing, product management, sales to drive growth in existing, new and adjacent products. You will drive a variety of functions under the product management department, including product strategy and development, supply chain, costing, supplier relationships while working closely with sales and marketing to drive product growth and adoption. This position will be responsible for driving the levers of value including pricing, product proposition and differentiation, costing. The workstreams will include product research, market analysis, global sourcing and purchasing, sales forecasting and inventory planning, cost and pricing analysis, and more. This position will interface directly with 3rd party manufacturers, customers, as well as our teams in sourcing, logistics, customer service, and sales. This position will work closely with our marketing and strategy function as well as with sales to drive greater than market growth by gaining share of wallet as well as increasing market share with new and adjacent customers and products.We are looking for candidates who bring a strong background in product management with skills in market and product research, data analysis, inventory management, and business development. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of internal operational efficiency and for delivering superior service to our customers - internally and externally.ResponsibilitiesBeing the first point of contact for any product related inquiriesBeing the go-to person for product proposition, pricing, costing, profitability, sourcing etc.Communication to global sales force of supply chain checkpoints and hiccupsForecast, plan, and manage global inventory levels at a SKU-warehouse level to ensure customer needs are met and inventory risks are mitigatedIdentify, contact, and vet appropriate vendors for new product sourcingConduct market research and identify competitive information and new client opportunitiesPartner with our sales reps, marketing and global product managers on identifying new business opportunities in our clients and prospectsDeveloping go to market strategy for product line and implementing across all geographiesMonitor and optimize cost and pricing through ongoing analysis of costs and market dynamics, and making recommendations to senior product managers and outside sales teamsCoordinate with suppliers regarding order discrepancies, shipment shortages, and other transactional errorsContribute new ideas to leadership team that foster overall company successKey QualificationsStrong analytical skills and comfortable with forecasting over various time periods and identifying variances in dataExperience using public data sources to identify global suppliers and study market trendsAbility to effectively communicate and influence our internal and external stakeholders - suppliers, managers, and intra-company departments with both excellent written and verbal skillsHigh energy, go-getter, proactive, and highly organized with an ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on timeA commitment to going above and beyond to make clients happy with a "no task too small" outlookHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Supply chain or product management background preferredExperience in chemicals or ingredient related industries preferred.
