AVP Energy Underwriting

JCW is currently working on behalf of a global specialty insurer seeking an experienced AVP of Energy Underwriting to lead a high-performing team and drive underwriting excellence. This role will focus on delivering exceptional service to Retail and Wholesale distribution partners, mentoring underwriters, and ensuring underwriting operations align with company policies and strategies.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor the underwriting team, providing guidance on risk selection, technical expertise, and professional development.Develop and execute an underwriting strategy to deliver exceptional value to clients and partners.Monitor performance metrics, manage workloads, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.Qualifications:5+ years of experience underwriting complex property risks; leadership experience preferred.Strong relationships with large national brokers or wholesalers; renewable energy underwriting experience is a plus.If you're interested, please apply directly or send a copy of your resume to clara.masson@
