Job DescriptionAtlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager, Medical Imaging for the CT Imaging department at Overlook Medical Center to work 8:30AM - 4:30PM, including weekends as needed.Essential Function/ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the development of policies and protocols in accordance with State, Federal, and Professional standards and guidelines.Formulates Department protocols in association with Radiologists, physicist and Director.Oversees and maintains all MSDS, Departmental Imaging protocols, Policy & Procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with NRC, NJDEPE, HIPPA, OSHA, and Joint Commission regulations.Ensures that staff adheres to department protocols and policies.Enforces and adheres to Standards of Care as Per Policy and Procedure Manual.Enforces and adheres to AHS Performance StandardsPromotes the development of technical skills to provide excellent image quality and proper performance of procedures.Ensure that Age Specific guidelines are met.Performs Diagnostic and fluoroscopy procedures according to published departmental protocol.Ensures that department maintains a >3% Repeat Rate.Promotes the development of patient satisfaction skills using AIDET and PRIDE.Acts as a role model for staff by Identifying and responding to the individual needs of patients and family members, taking into consideration, but not limited to age, physical limitations, communication abilities, and cultural background. Explains, instructs, and communicates to patient and family members relevant diagnostic and treatment informationEnsures patient satisfaction goals are maintained by the department and individual staff.Interfaces with internal and external customers to resolve issues.Performs patient and staff rounds and promotes staff awareness of patient needs and satisfaction expectations.Oversees scheduling of all shifts and on-call hours. Schedules, assigns and supervises staff duties.Maintains daily communication with staff from all shifts to keep them informed about schedule changes or department updates.Able to perform fluoroscopy scheduling for outpatients.Supervises payroll compliance of all staff.Performs payroll edits for diagnostic radiology.Certifies that department budget is maintained by monitoring the use of overtime and per-diem hours.Performs productivity reports for daily monitoring of WHPUOSEnsures that staff meets the requirements for continuing education, CPR and state licensure and keeps records of these items.Performs staff recruitment including candidate interviews and new team member training.Prepares annual team member competencies and monitors the progress of them.Performs staff yearly performance evaluations.Maintains a positive team-oriented staff relation.Supervises the progress and performance of radiography students. Works closely with the faculty of the radiography program in order develop programs that may help students build technical and patient satisfaction skills.Holds monthly staff meetings and staff rounds.Responsible for the safety and proper functioning of radiographic equipped and accessories.Ensures that staff handles equipment properly and safely.Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot radiologic equipment.Obtains and reviews vendor price quotations with department Director.Provides input for both Capital and Operating Budgets.Performs QAP and repeat analysis for all equipment and maintains records for State and Joint Commission inspections.Facilitates equipment repairs and maintains a cordial relationship with the Biomedical department.Offers the staff opportunities to develop proper handling of radiologic equipment.Demonstrates expertise in the use of HIS/RIS and picture archival systems.Identify, assess, and resolve problems for overall process improvement.Daily monitoring of WHPUOS including planning and assessment to maintain department productivity goals.Daily report monitoring of metrics related to department and staff performance.Monitors the use and ordering of supplies.Participates in multidisciplinary committees to provide support and inpuMinimum EducationGraduate of accredited radiology programMinimum of Associate's Degree preferred Minimum ExperienceMinimum 5 years hospital radiology experience preferred About UsAt Atlantic Health System, our promise to our communities is that anyone who enters anyone of our facilities, receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
