Aerospace Quality Manager

Satellite Aerospace Inc. is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our facility located in Manchester, CT (Company of 20 employees). The primary purpose of this job is to provide quality support to meet company and customer quality requirements for aircraft small sheet metal product. Maintain quality system in accordance with company and ISO/AS9100 requirements. Responsible for the AS9100 development, maintenance, improvement and surveillance.Maintain and update Quality Manual, procedures, and Quality Management SystemCoordinate quality system audits with customer technical representatives and/or auditors during onsite visits; prepare and publish written reports of customer audits; solicit written cause and corrective action in regards to customer audit finding; prepare and issue direct written correspondence in reply to customer audit findingsInterfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers on quality related issuesManages supervision, technical, and clerical employees responsible for Quality Standards Services activitiesControl Conflict Mineral and REACH Flow down and reporting.Prepare and publish reports of third-party audit results; solicit written cause and corrective action in regard to third party findings; prepare and issue direct correspondence in reply to third party audit findingsAssist in solving manufacturing problems/ preventative actions Develop and implement quality/productivity/cost reduction projectsMake disposition of non-conforming product and reporting appropriately.Train company personnel in quality related areas and Maintaining training logsUpdating SAM Government RegistrationInternal Audits/ and schedulingDevelop, train, and evaluate department personnel in order to support the company's AwarenessControlling DQR's certifications and recertificationsMaintaining Customer (PW LCS) controls/ testing/ personnel certificationsMaintaining KPC (CPK), and reporting in customer portalCreating and submitting First Article Inspections AS9102 forms/Customer Portal entries/ Inspection Xpert ballooningQualificationsProven experience in quality management within the aerospace industry (5+ years)Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAI processes.Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and communication skillsPRATT & WHITNEY End Product knowledge neededBenefits Medical Insurance (Satellite Aerospace covers 100% of insurance premiums)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceDisability InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (3 weeks)
