As a developer-focused Content Engineer, you'll create high-quality, engaging content that showcases the power of our unique product and translates complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling material. You'll work at the intersection of developer advocacy and technical writing, producing content that resonates with both individual developers and engineering leaders! Key ResponsibilitiesCreate in-depth technical content including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation that showcase our features like AST Grep rules, PR summaries, and 1-Click SuggestionsDevelop and maintain sample applications and demo repositories that illustrate best practices and real-world applications of our brandWrite technical comparisons and benchmarks that demonstrate the advantages of our productCreate engaging social media content focused on developer education and community buildingProduce video content including product demos, technical deep-dives, and feature walkthroughsCollaborate with the engineering team to understand new features and translate them into compelling contentDevelop technical presentations and workshop materials for developer events and conferencesCreate and maintain a content calendar aligned with product releases and marketing initiativesMonitor content performance metrics and adapt strategy based on community engagementQualifications3 - 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience/Advocate Engineer, or related roleStrong software development experience, particularly in areas related to version control, code review, and developer workflows.Proven track record of creating technical content for developer audiencesExperience with Git, GitHub, and modern development practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearlyFamiliarity with static analysis tools, linters, and code quality metricsExperience with technical video production and screen castingUnderstanding of developer marketing and community buildingStrong portfolio of technical writing samples or blog postsExperience with markdown, technical documentation, and content management systemsTechnical SkillsProficiency in at least one programming languageFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub ActionsUnderstanding of code review best practices and toolsExperience with technical content creation toolsBasic video editing and production skillsKnowledge of documentation systems and static site generatorsNice to HaveSpeaking experience at technical conferencesExperience with AI/ML concepts and toolsExperience with static analysis tools and AST manipulationOpen source contributions or maintenance experienceBackground in developer tools or developer platformsExperience with technical screen casting and video productionCommunity building or developer relations experience
