We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting activities for a high-growth, global technology company. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a diverse team across multiple regions while ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial reporting. As the corporate controller, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial infrastructure and accounting systems to support our global expansion and long-term strategic goals.In this leadership role, you will manage accounting operations, SEC reporting, internal controls, and compliance. Your leadership will drive the adoption of best practices, optimize financial processes, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the CFO, executive team, and other departments to influence key financial decisions and support the company's growth trajectory.Key Responsibilities:Accounting Operations & ReportingOversee the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and statutory reports for global operationsEnsure financial reports comply with US GAAP, IFRS, and company accounting policies, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial dataSupervise the timely preparation of financial statements, including consolidations, eliminations, and statutory financial statements for international subsidiariesLead technical accounting research and decision-making, particularly related to complex issues such as hardware and software revenue recognitionManage the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring timely adoption and complianceAudit & External RelationshipsAct as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audit planning, execution, and resolution of key audit issuesEnsure quality, timely completion of audits and serve as the liaison for audit-related services, including negotiation of fees and communication with auditorsOversee all aspects of SOX 404 compliance, ensuring that internal controls and financial processes meet regulatory requirementsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor a diverse, geographically distributed team across Accounting Operations, Global Payroll, SEC Reporting, Tax, and RevenueFoster a collaborative, high-performance culture that supports the professional development and growth of team membersBuild and implement strategies to grow talent within the accounting function, promoting career advancement and skill developmentSystems, Processes & ControlsOptimize financial systems (particularly Oracle) and internal processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company growsEstablish and implement internal control procedures to ensure the reliability and integrity of financial and operational data, safeguarding assets and ensuring regulatory complianceOversee the preparation and periodic updates of accounting policies, ensuring alignment with current regulations and best practicesGlobal Financial OversightEnsure compliance with global accounting standards and corporate policies across regional operationsProvide guidance on statutory reporting requirements and regulatory changes in various jurisdictionsManage operational banking relationships, including hedging strategies and financial risk managementPolicy Development & GovernanceDevelop and approve accounting policies, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with relevant standardsWork with the executive team to implement financial policies and controls across all regions, ensuring consistent governance and financial management practicesQualifications:Experience:Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Corporate Controller or similar senior accounting position)Hands-on experience with SEC reporting, including the preparation and filing of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and consolidations/eliminationsDemonstrated ability to manage complex US GAAP and IFRS accounting issues, especially in areas such as revenue recognition, equity-based compensation, and international accountingSignificant experience in SOX 404 compliance and internal controlsInternational accounting experience, particularly in high-growth, global business environmentsStrong experience working with Oracle or similar financial systemsEducation & Certification:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredActive CPA certification is requiredAn MBA or other advanced degree is preferredLeadership & Personal Attributes:Strong managerial and leadership skills, with experience leading diverse teams across regionsExceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional teamsHigh level of integrity and professionalism, capable of maintaining discretion and making sound, compliance-focused decisionsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining attention to detail and fostering collaborationAdditional Experience:Experience in a high-tech, SaaS, or networking environment is preferredBig 4 public accounting background (5+ years) is highly desirableStrong background in managing external audits and financial reporting in a public company settingA10 Networks is an equal opportunity employer and a VEVRAA federal subcontractor.
