The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for evaluating, installing, and maintaining desktop IT hardware and software, enterprise/desktop printer support, and providing 2nd level support to Help Desk for desktop related issues.Responsibilities and ExpectationsServe as a technical expert regarding all aspects of desktop supportResponsible for responding to customer calls, troubleshooting, resolving technical issuesDocumentation of work and processes for complianceProper change control practices to implement new technologies and changesEvaluate, install, and maintain PC's, laptops, monitors, and printersMaintain asset tracking and proper inventories of hardware, software, and printer suppliesMaintain software license compliancePerform basic administration of email accounts and simple Active Directory administrationMaintain desktop environmental documentationDiagnose and trouble shoot issues within the desktop environmentCompetenciesAdheres to Safeguard's core valuesCustomer Service = ResolutionTeam WorkIntegrity AdaptabilityCommunicationDecision MakingAdaptabilityProject ManagementJob KnowledgeQualifications and RequirementsApplicable degree in Computer Science, IS/MIS or related fieldMicrosoft Certification (MCSE) or A+ certification preferredProficiency in installing and supporting hardware/software in a Microsoft environmentProficiency in diagnosing and troubleshootingPrevious experience in a Terminal Services/Thin Client environmentProficiency in desktop builds and imagingWorking knowledge in supporting desktop and enterprise printersMAC experience preferredAbility to multitask and take ownership of assignments
