Quality Engineer

LHH is actively seeking a Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Elk Grove Village area.This role will be responsible for maintaining departmental documentation, PPAP, assisting with a variety of audits, monitoring supplier performance and investigating non conforming materials.ResponsibilitiesPerform internal and external audits for qaulity and suppliersMonitor supplier performanceInvestigate non conforming materials, root cause analysisCreate/review SOPs and be able to explain them to all levels of the organization including production line workersUse inspection tools to measure partsInspect and test mechanizims and equipmentPropose and implement corrective actionLead effective trainings for all levels of the organizationPrepare and submit PPAP'sCommunicate with customers, auditors and regulating bodiesAdditional duties as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering5+ years of Manufacturing experienceLead auditor or certified auditor- IATF and ISO 1400Proficient in 8d 5 WHYStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAnalytical and quantitative approach to problem solvingBilingual Spanish required
