Digital Content ManagerThe Digital Content Manager helps manage and oversee our publishing strategy across our two newsletters, web publication, podcasts, YouTube and social media presence. You are on the frontlines, glued to the pickleball ecosystem and in the know on anything and everything related to pickleball and racquet sports. The Digital Content Manager will both delegate content creation and create content with an emphasis on copywriting and editing. ResponsibilitiesOversee content and all digital platforms (website, newsletters, social media, podcasts)Write and create content, graphics and video across all platformsEdit all content, review design and visuals, ensure all content is optimized, accurate and flawless prior to publishing Leverage digital marketing tactics to strategically deploy content to grow our brand and audience Oversee and manage publishing processes including deadlines, publishing times, editing, ad placements and more Run the operational side of content publishing, ensuring content assignments are made, story and production deadlines are adhered to and editorial standards are metOversee, manage and edit content relating to instructional and strategy, equipment recommendations and reviews, pickleball business news and the pro pickleball landscapeManage contributors and steer reporters toward engaging content topics and ideas, breaking news and original concepts; work directly with reporters and manage them throughout the day on content of all typesSupervise and work with contributors to add context, perspective, and voice to their contentSource and manage topics, identify and develop new and original segments and manage distribution of our podcast networkWork with marketing and content teams to develop and execute strategies that build and grow important content consumption metrics such as views, downloads, followers, subscribers, time spent viewing, pages per session, sessions per day, open and click to read rates, etc.Regularly work with the Sales team on content revenue generation ideas to ensure goals and market interests are metMonitor and analyze analytics across all platforms, drive decisions to ensure audience growth and brand developmentQualificationsBachelor's Degree7+ years of previous work experienceExperience with writing, reporting, copywriting and content creationExperience with audio and video podcastsExperience managing social media channels and driving audience growthUnderstanding of digital marketing, growth marketing, brand marketingExperience deploying strategic brand and growth marketing campaignsEnjoys operating in a dynamic, fluid, rapidly changing environment.Daily and/or weekly digital/print experience for media or news businessStrong wordsmith who has demonstrated a talent for reporter and story development.Proficient in major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)Ability to monitor the entire pickleball ecosystem to determine major storylines, relevant news and topics that drive conversationAbility to work and operate efficiently to meet quick turnaroundsExtreme attention to detailWillingness to "work" on weekends - covering pro pickleball as tournaments unfoldUpswing Sports is a portfolio of ventures related to racquet sports, with an emphasis on the fastest growing sport in the world, pickleball.
