Job SummaryThe Senior Quality Control Auditor is responsible for performing loan reviews and validation of loan documents in origination loans. Through the loan review, the Quality Control Auditor is responsible for citing deficiencies and determining the overall risk rating of the findings and loan.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms a post-closing and pre-funding loan analysis to ensure loan documents, underwriting and funding of loans are in accordance with company policies and procedures, agency guidelines, and state and federal regulationsDetermine if proper procedures were followed in the origination, underwriting and funding of the loansDetermine if the underwriter correctly calculated and approved the loan in accordance to agency guidelinesManages a pipeline of loans assigned each month, to meet production and quality metricsWrites clear, concise and accurate loan defects into the system of recordDocument findings to provide an accurate and detailed picture of the defectWorks with new hires to train on systems and proceduresMaintain knowledge of all underwriting guidelines and regulationsAssist management with reviewing and clearing exception responsesPerforms miscellaneous duties as assigned.Position RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma with equivalent work experience required. College degree preferredExperience5+ years of mortgage underwriting, quality control and/or post-closing auditing.2+ years of quality control experience in mortgage origination quality control environmentFunctional/Technical SkillsAbility to consistently meet and or exceed production goals.Strong working knowledge of internal, agency, user, investor origination and quality control requirements and state/federal laws and regulations.Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.Must exercise good judgment, accept responsibility, and handle confidential information.Proficiency with ACES, Encompass, CORE and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to multitask, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong written, verbal and organizational and attention to detail skills.Ability to work with others and independentlyStrong problem-solving skillsBenefitsOur benefits package includes 3 comprehensive Cigna or Kaiser medical plans, dental, and vision insurance.
