Blockchain Security Researcher

Almanax is seeking someone to join our team either remotely or in person in NYC to help us build our dataset of secure and vulnerable blockchain code. The ideal candidate will have a background in application security and experience either reading or writing blockchain smart contracts.As a security researcher, you will you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to play a crucial role in developing AI solutions for our clients. You can expect to be on the "ground floor" of Almanax's product and have a high degree of ownership, working with major blockchain protocols and companies.ResponsibilitiesCurate examples of safe and vulnerable smart contract codeLabel datasets with vulnerability severity, type, and descriptionsEvaluate security findings for correctness and accuracyWork on a day-to-day basis with Almanax foundersRequirementsBackground in application security, ideally with hands on work experiencePrior experience with smart contract security audits and vulnerability researchStrong programming ability or proficiency with reading and writing codeAble to work in the US in-person out of our NYC office Preferred QualificationsSolid understanding of blockchain architecture, best practices, and toolingFamiliarity of historical blockchain security incidents and their root causesHistory or interest in hacking, cybersecurity, crypto/web3, or ML/AI
