Project is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Tax Compliance to join our team. The Director of Tax Compliance will be responsible for overseeing the company's tax compliance processes and planning while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and work with others.Key Responsibilities:Management, preparation and/or oversight of all company tax returns and state filings: US Corporate (1120S), State Income/Franchise, Sales and Use Tax, International Income, Property Tax, State Annual Reports and Business Licenses, FBAR Reporting, FATCA Reporting, Vendor Master and Form 1099 ReportingManagement, preparation and/or oversight of all employment returnsManage outsourced tax service providersParticipate and advise on due diligence for US and foreign acquisitionsIdentify and implement ways to reduce the company's tax liabilityManage all US tax audits and governmental inquiriesProvide US and international tax advice on specific projects and programsInteract, when necessary, with clients on specific tax issuesDevelop, implement, monitor and report on internal controls and processes for tax related areasSupport requests from other departmentsProvide tax support to payroll functions for Project US Agencies (office and shop)Identify and mitigate risk for tax related areasIdentify and implement tax changes/updates relevant to the businessCorporate training seminars on various tax topicsLead and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and supportOther responsibilities as defined by the CFOEducation, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor Degree in accounting, preferably an MBA and/or CPACareer experience in corporate taxationAbility to interpret complex financial dataIn-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent project management skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and leadership skillsExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to understand ERP system information and structure (currently JD Edwards)We participate in the federal E-Verify program to verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.
