Monticello is seeking leaders and team players who can work in a collaborative environment and possess drive, integrity, creativity, compassion, and a strong work ethic.We are looking for an Asset Manager for our Pennsylvania office. The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:Develop and manage financial models for the evaluation of investments in debt and equity across all real estate asset classes, reviewing potential transactions for the proper balance of feasibility and riskAssist in commercial loan underwriting conducting initial and ongoing due diligence for loan transactions including evaluating appraisals, market studies, project capital need assessments, financial statements and credit reports for the project and its Principals, insurance policies and endorsementsAssist in the preparation of loan commitments to borrowersInterface with clients, outside attorneys, and other investment stakeholders involved in a particular transaction to obtain required documentationSupport the surveillance and asset management of Monticello's portfolio of investments across debt and equityMaintain direct daily interface with borrowers, financing counterparties, investors, and firm stakeholdersMonitor, analyze, model, re-underwrite, and report the following: property (occupancy, operating, strategic, clinical performance, changes to the competitive landscape), loan (financial condition), borrower (KYC, regulatory / reputational standing) and portfolio post-closing obligations informationReview and interpret complex mortgage and working capital loan documents in order to enforce and forecast financial covenants, trigger events, and general loan compliance, identifying and escalating potential concernSupervise the review and processing of extensions, payoffs, amendments, advances, surveys, reserves, capex, and construction draw requests, and insurance proceedsAssist in origination and underwriting through data analytics, participation in site and corporate entity due visits, and borrower financial and operational risk due diligenceFacilitate the company's growth by identifying and developing process efficiency improvements, including the development and enhancement of the firm's custom designed technologiesTravel as requiredWork in the office as required by office policyJob Requirements:Bachelor's DegreeStrong Excel proficiencyMinimum 4 years of work experienceFinance, credit, legal, real estate and/or business backgroundExtensive technology skillsEstablished organizational skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple projectsFamiliarity with multi-family housing, senior housing, health care and/or renewable energy preferredEffective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with borrowers, financing counterparties, and other external partiesAdvanced financial analytical proficiency along with the ability to "see the big picture"Strong grasp of logic and data analytics.Passion for the firm and passion for what we doIntellectual curiosity, asking the "Why?" questionAt Monticello, we believe that finding creative solutions for our clients comes from the collaboration of people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
