Controller

Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to serving our community through education leadership. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Controller to lead our financial operations and contribute to our mission. The Controller will oversee and manage all financial activities of the organization, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with applicable regulations, and alignment with our faith-based mission. This role includes strategic financial planning, day-to-day financial management, and collaboration with leadership to support decision-making.ControllerResponsibilitiesOversee the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledgerPrepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements, budgets and forecasts to senior leadership and the boardEnsure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, nonprofit accounting standards and organizational policiesCoordinate annual audits and tax filings, including Form 990Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization's assetsManage cash flow planning and optimize the organization's financial healthProvide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic planning and program evaluationSupervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and mission-focused work environmentWork closely with leadership to align financial strategies with the organization's faith-based values and goalsBe part of a compassionate and purpose-driven teamPlay a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and sustainability of a mission-focused organizationHybrid work environment with flexibilityCompetitive salary and benefits packageControllerRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based organizationStrong knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP) and compliance requirements.Proficiency in accounting software and financial systemsDemonstrated experience managing audits and preparing financial statementsExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skillsCommitment to the mission, values, and faith-based principles of the organization Thanks, Joey Anderson Team Lead, Accounting & Finance Recruiting LaSalle NetworkLaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v.
