Our client is seeking an analytical, self-starter individual with passion for problem solving and critical thinking to join their Investment Operations team in New York as an Analyst or Associate. This person will be responsible for onboarding new PE/Credit hybrid products and gain exposure to multiple liquid and illiquid asset classes, assisting in launching a new strategy from the ground up. The candidate should be dedicated, capable of working both independently and within a team, thrive in a sophisticated, fast-paced environment and have a background in owning project/process improvements end to end. The candidate should have a proven ability to highlight inefficiencies and scale new and existing processes with the opportunity to work on and be a leader for larger initiatives outside of daily deliverables.Responsibilities:Process Creation and Ownership"”Assist in creating processes for new strategy launch from the ground up; complete ownership and accountability of processes created including data maintenance and timeliness of activity processing with evidence of controlsProject Management"”Working directly with investment management team, maintain deal pipeline and coordinate onboarding of all new credit mandatesAdmin Reconciliations & Reporting Oversight"”Responsible for reviewing the daily reconciliation of cash, position, and accruals to the street performed and shared by a third-party administrator.Identify and resolve cash, trade, and position breaksDrive process improvements and system enhancementsPerform ad hoc projects as neededQualifications:2 to 5 years relevant experienceUndergraduate/Graduate degree with focus in Finance/Accounting/Business/Business Analytics or related field preferredFamiliarity with private equity fund frameworks, covering the entire process from booking and settlement to accounting and post-settlement maintenance preferredExperience working with various credit products required.Knowledge of WSO and Clearpar preferredExperience in overseeing a third-party admin preferredExperience in project management and change management valuedStrong proficiency in Excel with experience in VBA/Macros preferredSkill set in "citizen developer" type applications like Alteryx, PowerBI, and AI tools highly valuedDemonstrates data literacy, experience with SQL and large datasets a plusBackground in owning/testing process improvements and driving innovation end to endStrong written/verbal ability to concisely articulate complex issues and requirements to all levels of internal and external stakeholder management
