The team has closed numerous deals over the past 3 years and is currently engaged to run M&A processes to sell stakes in private equity firms located in the US, UK, Continental Europe and Asia. The GPA team is one of Houlihan's youngest investment banking businesses.Job DescriptionFinancial analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various clients in the private equity industry and to a range of investment banking services, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic consulting. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting businesses today. Relevant aptitudes for the job include financial analytics, written and verbal communication, research, and presentation creation skills. In addition, the role is one of Houlihan's most intensive from a financial modeling perspective - strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required.Basic QualificationsAt least 1 year of relevant investment banking or similar experienceAn undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institutionStrong financial modeling experience (Excel)Experience across all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. PowerPoint and Word)Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staffProficient analytical/quantitative and technical abilitiesPreferred Qualifications Passed CFA Level I (or higher)Relevant valuation experienceStrong public speaking and presentation skills
