Junior Portfolio Manager

Asset Management firm is seeking a junior portfolio manager to join our growing team of retail and institutional managers. Responsibilities will include the day to day management of approximately $300 million in retail portfolios (majority of time) and assisting the senior portfolio managers on the institutional side of the business ($4.5 billion aum). All portfolios are separate taxable or tax exempt accounts invested in US domestic equities and/or fixed income securities. Position entails:-maintaining investment models/rebalancing-satisfying client liquidity needsassist financial planners with tasks and projects related to clients' needsprovide support to senior institutional account portfolio managers-ensuring required minimum distributions are distributed -tax loss harvesting-execution of administrative paperworkIn addition to the management of retail portfolios, the candidate would attend daily investment committee meetings with senior portfolio managers on the institutional side of business, participate in stock/bond positioning, issue selection process and economic discussions. Requirements:4 year college degreeKnowledge of financial marketsExperience with SS&C Black Diamond and/or Advent software a plus. Advancement into institutional asset management and/or financial planning (CFP® or CHFC) possible and encouraged.
