Company DescriptionClub Pilates is a boutique fitness studio with over 1000 locations across the US offering 12-person reformer Pilates classes as well as private instruction. Our ownership group operates 2 Studios in Essex and Union County NJ and is in the process of opening a third in Union Township NJ.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Club Pilates Union Township in Union, NJ. The General Manager will help coordinate and oversee the pre-sale and grand opening process of a new studio and once open will oversee the daily operations, as well as plan and coordinate events for grassroots outreach. The General manager will be responsible for sales and member retention in the studio.Qualifications3+ Years proven experience in managing a fitness studio or similar facilityDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a teamGoal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, private training, and teacher trainingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPassion for health, fitness, and providing exceptional customer serviceSales experienceCertification in fitness, sports management, or related field is a plusFluency in Spanish is a plusResponsibilitiesHiring and on-boarding of new staff membersSupervising front-desk associates on day-to-day tasks and ensuring staff is hitting KPI TargetsTraining all new front-desk associates on all studio operationsMaking sales callsGiving introductory class sales pitches to prospective membersBeing available during evenings and weekends as neededExecuting sales process of lead generation, follow up, and closeMaintaining acceptable level of personal sales productionPresenting available services to current or prospective membersBooking quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quotaParticipate in special events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community and hospital events) to promote the clubOrganizing grassroots outreach events with the goal of generating leads for the sales teamOrganizing member retention events in order to foster a community atmosphere within the studioExecution of membership changes including cancellations, freezes, etc.Comprehension and enforcement of studio policies and proceduresBasic equipment maintenanceOther duties as assignedCompensation and PerksThis position offers a very competitive base rate; based on experienceThe ability to take free classes outside of work hoursCommission paid on salesOpportunity for bonus based on performanceOpportunities for growth within the studios
